Screeding and Levelling
Floor Screeding is the application of a blended cement based products onto a floor base to raise a floor to a specific level and form a sturdy sub floor on which a final floor finish such as tiles, laminate or Lino. Proper screeding is essential to help ensure quality, durability and finish of the floor and some floor coverings may require the floor to be perfectly level such as laminate and some tiles and hence the floor will need to be levelled. Ensuring the floor is perfectly level will improve the finish of your floor no matter what covering you choose. The process is done with a cement based compound, and should only be attempted by an experienced professional especially over large areas.
